Our Story

I'm a Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal athlete. I started TRIBE because I kept seeing the same thing happen to talented young people around me.

They had the ability. They didn't have the environment. What was happening at home took them off track, not a lack of talent or effort. I've seen too many people with real ability lose their shot because of things they couldn't control.

TRIBE exists to give the next generation of young Australians, Black and white, something to work toward. Something that builds healthy habits and keeps them focused. Sport did that for me. Clothing that represents your identity and your community can be part of that too.

This brand comes from the inside. I know what it means to carry this identity and I know what it costs when young people don't have something to anchor to. That's why TRIBE exists.

The designs are built around Torres Strait totem symbols. Each one carries a specific meaning. We are not printing patterns. We are representing something that has existed for thousands of years and making it visible in spaces where it hasn't been seen before.
