TRIBE was created to honour that.

Our Story

TRIBE was founded in the Torres Strait — one of the most culturally rich and geographically unique parts of Australia. Our designs draw on the totems of the Islands: the Beizam (Shark), the Kaiyar (Crayfish), the Sugu (Octopus), the Hammerhead and the Dari.

These are not decorations. They are symbols that have guided the people of the Torres Strait for thousands of years. They represent strength, community, connection to sea and sky, and the unyielding pride of a people who have survived everything the world has thrown at them.

When we put those symbols on a jersey — on the court, in the gym, in the streets — we carry that power with us.
